Sussex County in northwestern New Jersey...
Northeastern Warren County in northwestern New Jersey...
Northern Monroe County in northeastern Pennsylvania...

* Until 500 PM EDT.

* At 407 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Lehigh, or 10
miles northwest of Mount Pocono, moving east at 45 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Minor damage to vehicles is possible. Wind damage to
roofs, siding, trees, and power lines is possible.

* Locations impacted include...
High Point, Henryville, Blairstown, Werry Lake, Millbrook,
Greendell, Skytop, Mountainhome, Tobyhanna, Alpine Mountain,
Pellettown, Crandon Lakes, Andover, Hidden Lake, Branchville,
Sussex, Hainesville, Flatbrookville, Cresco, and Canadensis.

This includes the following highways...
Interstate 80 in New Jersey between mile markers 19 and 22.
Interstate 380 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 4 and 13.

Wind Gust: 60 MPH (OBSERVED) Hail Size: up to 0.75Inch(es) (RADAR INDICATED)


A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 445 PM EDT FOR EASTERN BERKS...LEHIGH...MONTGOMERY...NORTHWESTERN BUCKS... NORTHEASTERN CHESTER...CENTRAL DELAWARE AND SOUTHERN NORTHAMPTON COUNTIES

Berks County, PA Bucks County, PA Chester County, PA Delaware County, PA Lehigh County, PA Montgomery County, PA Northampton County, PA

At 413 PM EDT, showers and an outflow boundary producing severe wind
gusts were located along a line extending from Hellertown to Spring
Mount to near Lionville, moving east at 55 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Emergency management. At 343 PM EDT, a 62 mph wind gust was
measured at the Reading Regional Airport. Several areas of
wind damage have been reported across Berks County.

IMPACT...Damage to roofs, siding, trees, and power lines is
possible.

Locations impacted include...
Fricks, Modena, Coffeetown, Emmaus, Evansburg, New Morgan, Hatfield,
Blue Bell, Perkasie, Maple Glen, Pughtown, Bryn Mawr, North
Catasauqua, Ancient Oaks, Pennsburg, Doylestown, Gradyville, Fountain
Hill, South Coatesville, and Bethlehem.

This includes the following highways...
Pennsylvania Turnpike between mile markers 296 and 339.
Northeast Extension between mile markers 21 and 61.
Interstate 76 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 327 and 335.
Interstate 78 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 37 and 76.
Interstate 476 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 10 and 19.
Interstate 176 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 1 and 11.

...PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

This is a DANGEROUS SITUATION. These showers and storms have
produced widespread wide damage in Berks County. SEEK SHELTER NOW
inside a sturdy structure and stay away from windows.

This severe thunderstorm may contain little or no lightning. Do not
wait until you hear thunder before taking cover.
