STEADY RAINFALL MAY LEAD TO FLOODING SUNDAY
Cook County, IL Ford County, IL Grundy County, IL Iroquois County, IL Kankakee County, IL Kendall County, IL LaSalle County, IL Livingston County, IL Will County, IL Benton County, IN Jasper County, IN Lake County, IN Newton County, IN Porter County, IN
ESFLOT
A steady soaking rain is expected Sunday afternoon and evening. The
highest rainfall amounts are forecast south of I-80 where totals in
excess of 2 inches are possible.
Many rivers and streams across the region remain elevated from
recent heavy rainfall. Thus, rainfall amounts of this magnitude will
result in renewed rises on area streams and rivers, with some
potentially topping flood stage.
Uncertainty remains with where the heaviest rainfall amounts will
occur. Anyone in or near flood prone areas should thus closely
monitor later forecasts.
This outlook will be updated by this evening.
